Love your weekly yoga class but wish it was longer? Want to explore Yoga beyond asana (the poses). Looking to deepen your practice but not quite ready to do a full teacher training.
Then join us for this unique 6-day course with Modern Yoga teachers, Roseanna and Rosie as they take you on a journey through all that is yoga, taking your practice beyond asana. With over ten years of teaching experience between them, they’re excited to share some of their learnings and experience with you.
Over the course of 3 weekends you’re given the opportunity to take your yoga practice deeper.
For Yoga students who are looking to gain a deeper understanding and awareness of your body, breath and mind this is the ideal course for you.
If you’ve a minimum of 6 months of regular class attendance / experience then this course will help you decide whether you want to complete further training or help you gain further knowledge for your own personal development.
If you’re considering a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in the future this course will accelerate your practice and is the perfect place to start.

Each weekend will have a different theme. This will guide the asana practice, history, philosophy, breathing exercises and meditation for each day.
Each day will include a visit to the Asana lab, where peak and sometimes complex and challenging poses are broken down to ensure they are fully understood. Modifications will be offered so everything is achievable.
The days will be a blend of practical sessions and lectures covering history, philosophy, and the subtle body. You will also explore The different breathing exercises and kriyas. Each day will come to a close with a calming, quietening practice of meditation, Yin, Nidra, or restorative practice.
We’ll bring the course together with a final Friday evening practice where there will be plenty of time for Q&A’s, journaling, and group discussion and closing meditation.
Asana – A mix of Flow, Yin and Restorative
Breathing practices, including Kriya
Meditation, mindfulness, and Yoga Nidra.
Group discussions with small group work.
Lectures and teacher-led discussions.
By the end of the course you will have the confidence to:
– Develop and enhance your own personal practice, both at home and in the Yoga studio.
– Understand the historical context of yoga.
– Work on breathing, meditation, mindfulness, and relaxation techniques on your own.
The course will take place at The Modern Yoga on Saturdays and Sundays during the following dates;
16/17th September – 7/8th October – 11/12th November
Each day will run from 11.30-17.30 with time for breaks.
